MY BIO

Who I Am

I graduated from National College of Art and Design, Ireland (NCAD) in 2019 with an Hons degree in Fine Art Painting. Subsequently I completed a CPD in Drawing and Painting with RHA Gallery School in Drawing and Painting focusing on figurative work graduating in 2021. Other qualifications include a Diploma and Certificate in Visual Arts Practice with CEAD, Continuing Education in Art and Design with National College of Art and Design, Dublin. My career background includes graphic design, quality and training.

Following graduation I joined BKB studios in Dublin. I am currently based in Pallas Studios, Dublin. My work has been exhibited with Rua Red, Courtyard Galler and online with Pepney Gallery, Artnet DLR, Nua Collective, Slow Lane Gallery abnd CIACLA. My practice is grounded in painting and drawing.

My Qualifications

ARTIST

Incubation studio with Pallas Studios, Dublin. Preparation of a new body of work for Exhibition coming in 2022!

ARTIST

Full time artist with BKB studios, painting and drawing. Exhibited with the Studio members in Summer 2021.

GRAPHIC DESIGN TRAINER

Trainer for national organisation in Ireland training participants in graphic design, illustration techniques and desk top publishing software.

PAINTER

Painting in oils , acrylics, watercolour. Drawing in charcoal, pen and wash.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

My Studies

Returning to full time education as a mature student was a game changer for me. They say learning is for life and in my case it certainly was. Building on my graphic design and training experience, I returned to education and completed a Certificate and Diploma in Visual Arts Practice with National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. I then returned to full time education and completed a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art Painting.

September 2017 to May 2019

BA HONS FINE ART PAINT NCAD, DUBLIN.

Graduated with BA Hons in Fine Art paint from NCAD. Degree Thesis is held in the library in NCAD. Degree topics included Critical Cultures, Professional Practice, Painting, theory and practice.

September 2019 to June 2021

DIPLOMA PAINTING AND DRAWING, RHA.

CPD - continuing professional practice in Painting and Drawing. Six modules completed to gain a CPD Diploma from Technology University, Dublin.

September 2015 to June 2016.

DIPLOMA IN VISUAL ARTS PRACTICE, NCAD

Diploma in various aspects of fine art practice including Sculpture, multimedia, mixed media, painting, printmaking, installation, critical cultures
